Event
An occurrence or state of affairs that is not exhausted by any one person's experience of it. An event can remain partly unknown while still constraining what honest accounts may claim.
Constraint
The requirement that an honest render answer to the strongest available checkpoints, including evidence that complicates the preferred story.
False checkpoint
A manufactured or captured certainty functioning as settled orientation or identity despite inadequate support. A false checkpoint may be built from forged evidence, authentic evidence used outside its standing, repetition, consensus, or institutional power.
