Your private reflection is not our content.
No account, profile, email gate, or comment is required. The private tools stay inside your active browser tab, and analytics are kept away from the places where sensitive words may appear.
The shortest honest version
Read freely. Write privately. We measure whether the public guide is useful, not what you are thinking about.
Google Analytics 4 runs on ordinary public reading pages. It can record a page view, reading depth, a book download, a journey link, or the method used to share. STAR sends no Analytics pageviews or engagement events while you are on the support page, site search, or private reflection tools. Search words, tool text, highlighted passages, and crisis-resource choices are not sent as analytics events.

What happens when you use the site.
A sanitized page path and aggregate engagement events may be processed. Query strings are removed from analytics pageviews.
What you type stays in temporary page memory. GA4 is not loaded on a direct tool visit; transitions into tools force a new, analytics-silent page. Refreshing, leaving, or closing clears the text.
Search words appear in the URL so results can load. Hosting and network logs may process that URL, so do not search private names or sensitive details.
GA4 is not loaded. External crisis and support services have their own privacy practices after you follow a link or call.
Page views, reading depth, internal journey clicks, downloads, and share method help improve the public experience.
Search terms, reflection text, highlighted words, copied quote text, and crisis-resource choices are outside the measurement plan.
No advertising pixels, remarketing, Google Signals, ad personalization, reader accounts, comments, or STAR profiling database are included.
Why analytics exist
To learn whether the journey works.
Aggregate reports can show whether readers reach the simple explanation, begin the book, continue to another chapter, download a copy, or use a share action. STAR does not use those reports to diagnose, classify, or make decisions about an individual reader.
On measured pages, GA4 may use first-party identifiers and process device, browser, session, approximate location, and interaction information. Advertising signals and ad-personalization are disabled, but that does not make core Analytics collection anonymous.
Analytics data follows the configured GA4 retention controls and Google’s privacy terms. Review the current Google Privacy Policy.
Browser privacy settings and content blockers may limit Analytics. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Practical privacy
If a reflection is sensitive, use the tools without names, identifying details, or text you would not want visible on your screen.
Device privacy still matters. Someone with access to your open tab, clipboard, screen capture, browser history, or device may see what you enter or search. STAR cannot make a shared or monitored device private.
