Three kinds of change
Not every website update revises the book.
Presentation change
Navigation, accessibility, design, metadata, or machine surfaces change while the source manuscript remains the same.
Website correction
A derivative label, broken link, transcription, metadata claim, or site-specific statement is corrected and logged.
Manuscript revision
The primary text changes. It requires a new source version and fingerprint so citations can distinguish the editions.

Discovery should be inspectable too.
