Archive
A persistence structure whose traces can re-enter later experience, judgment, or social reality. The archive is not identical to memory and is never assumed to be complete.
Record
A deliberately or automatically preserved trace. A record can be authentic and still be partial, misleading, wrongly framed, or overextended beyond the claim it can support.
Checkpoint strength
The authority a trace deserves given provenance, independent convergence, contestability, route of appeal, and fit with the consequence it is asked to carry.
Co-renderer
A person, group, institution, tool, platform, or system that helps shape the render with us by affecting what is available, selected, weighted, verified, or permitted to matter.
Counterfeit trace
A forged, manipulated, or falsely contextualized trace seeking checkpoint status.
Somatic archive
Conditioned readiness, interoceptive signals, procedural habits, and learned bodily patterns. It can detect before explicit explanation and can also overgeneralize from earlier conditions.
When the archive speaks
Later that afternoon, Morgan asks an AI assistant connected to the organization's documents a practical question: What did the team decide about the March launch?
