Where the lens stops

A useful lens must know when to leave the room.

This framework cannot tell us whether Rosa was paid; the bank record can. It cannot authenticate a signature, diagnose an illness, determine whether a law was broken, or replace qualified investigation and due process. Where measurement, medicine, law, safety, or material obligation can settle a question, the framework must yield.

It also cannot turn every conflict into a misunderstanding. Two people may understand one another accurately and remain divided by money, property, obligation, risk, or incompatible futures. Better perception may improve the manner of an ending without removing the need for one.

Nor can it treat strategic deception or coercive control as two innocent renders waiting for more curiosity. Where one person is destroying another's access to evidence, witnesses, money, movement, or independent judgment, safety, outside support, records, distance, law, or exit may matter more than mutual understanding.

Some events remain unresolved. Some motives remain unknown. Some evidence never appears. Some people lie. Some systems offer an appeal in theory and nowhere else. The framework cannot promise coherence where life has not supplied it.

Facts must constrain the lens. Safety must overrule it. Structure must explain what interpretation cannot. Uncertainty must be allowed to remain uncertainty.

A framework that cannot stop is not a framework. It is a religion with better diagrams.
