Signal
Information available to the system now: external input, internal sensation, emotion, context, or active cue. A retrieved trace can function as a present signal once it becomes active.
Archive
A persistence structure whose traces can re-enter later experience, judgment, or social reality. The archive is not identical to memory and is never assumed to be complete.
Weighting
How much influence each selected signal or trace receives. Weight can come from learning, repetition, emotion, expertise, role, reward, threat, or institutional status.
Co-renderer
A person, group, institution, tool, platform, or system that helps shape the render with us by affecting what is available, selected, weighted, verified, or permitted to matter.
Social archive
Traces held by other people and groups: shared memories, reputations, stories, roles, expectations, and recognition. It can restore missing context or enforce a fixed identity.
