A similar feeling does not prove the same cause. Intensity is real, but it is not automatic evidence.

Direct evidence and another person’s perspective may change the picture.
Dev opens the equipment-room door and stops.
Nothing looks wrong. The indicator lights are green. The ventilation fan is running. A maintenance cart stands where it stood yesterday. But the air feels wrong in the throat.
There is a faint sweetness, then irritation. Dev steps backward before deciding to. The heart speeds. The body has already assigned weight.
A colleague says the room always smells strange after cleaning. Dev could enter, complete the reset, and be done in three minutes. Instead, Dev closes the door and calls facilities. A sensor check later identifies a leak from a cooling unit. It is tempting to turn this into a story about bodily wisdom: the body knew.
In one limited sense, it did. Dev registered active signals before knowing how to name them. The throat, nose, and learned familiarity with the room detected a change. Withdrawal was proportionate and useful.
But the body did not identify the chemical, locate the leak, measure exposure, or determine the repair. The later instruments and trained staff did that. Dev's signal began inquiry. It did not complete it. This is the right scale for what STAR calls the body's high-weight witness.
Bodily signals can enter the Query Stack with enormous force before explicit interpretation catches up. They can preserve learning, detect pattern, organize readiness, and sometimes protect a person faster than language. They can also overgeneralize, misidentify cause, arrive late, remain quiet during danger, or amplify ordinary variation into a world of threat.
