Inside the Stack, orientation is immediate: what the system is for now. Across time, repeated renders can accumulate into a larger orientation, the felt map by which a person expects the world to work.
Morgan's momentary orientation was protection from exclusion. If similar renders repeat, the larger orientation may become Families decide what you are when you are not in the room. The proposition need not be consciously endorsed. It appears as readiness: watch the glance, notice the pause, do not arrive needing too much.
Marisol's repeated experience may become Small anomalies deserve respect. In a healthy system, feedback calibrates that orientation into expertise. In a punitive one, she may learn the opposite: Do not notice what creates work for powerful people. Orientation across time is archived learning made atmospheric. It is the world expected before a particular question begins.
Changing one question can alter a moment. Changing an orientation usually requires new evidence, repeated experience, safer relationships, different incentives, or material change. It is not accomplished by replacing a severe sentence with a cheerful one.
