In ordinary words
An audit label for a claim drawn from signals or traces. Inference is useful for separating "I observed" from "therefore," but it is not a separate stage in the STAR loop.
What this does not prove
Use this as a handle for noticing a pattern, not as a label that settles a person or event.
The most honest sentence in a charged moment is often neither I am wrong nor I am right. It is: This is what happened as far as I can establish it. This is what is available to me now. This is what the past has placed in the room. This is what I am making of it. This is what remains unknown.
A framework about rendered experience begins here because every later chapter depends on the separation. The archive is made of traces, not events preserved whole. The Query Stack operates on signals and retrieved traces, not on reality in its entirety. The render is a lived result, not a neutral recording. Checkpoints constrain interpretation because access is partial and consequence is real.
Maya's meeting did not become unreal when her interpretation changed. The first render mattered. It shaped a week of attention, sleep, speech, and behavior. The later records did not erase that life. They corrected what the life could honestly claim about Lewis's decision.
The event resisted both versions. That resistance is not a limitation of the framework. It is the reason the framework has somewhere to stand.
